Selection of 8 black
& white photographs using my Holga camera. Taken from various travels around the Canterbury
region.
The Holga as Counterculture:
Holga cameras are made
in China and consist of an all plastic
body, single element plastic lens and
use 120 size roll film. The resulting
photos have a soft focus, heavy vignette
and frequently feature light leaks (See
'Austin'
for example).
In a world of technical innovation and
automation, the crude bulky design,
and quirky characteristics of the Holga
have risen the camera to cult status.
